-How does the irony in "Lamb to the Slaughter" by Roald Dalh make the story memorable?

Roald Dalh makes the story "Lamb to the Slaughter" memorable by using different kinds of irony making it more interesting. For example, the author explained that the wife, Mary, had tricked the police officers into thinking that she had found her husband dead on the floor. This can make the reader feel excited because of the epic suspense that is being tossed around. Also this is dramatic irony because the reader only sees Mary's point of view, which the characters can't see. For another example that had happened in the story was that Mary tricked the police officers into eating the lamb that was evidence to the killing of her husband. This is also irony because of the situation of the policer officers eating the lamb that could have brought happiness to this because all of this is all wrong. This can also explain that if she was caught then, the police officer could've known what she was up to.
